Students in Temporary Living Situations (STLS) is a program offered by the Board of Education that accommodates children and youth in CPS schools that are homeless.
The focus of the program is to provide an adequate education for students, and provide necessary services to students and their family. Situations with homeless students vary depending on their economic hardship and home living status.
In order to begin receiving services through this program, eligible students are required to complete two forms:
Teachers and staff should refer students experiencing signs of homelessness to the STLS liaison for further evaluation under confidential settings.
